KRCX

The KRCX is cold-tool steel that has outstandingly improved machinability and hardening performance and may be hardened in the same conditions as the SKD11 and SKS3.

Features of KRCX
  1. Superior hardening performance
Wide hardening temperature range from between 850℃~1030℃. May be hardened in the same conditions as the SKD11 and SKS3.
Offers as high hardness as 60 HRC in the hardening conditions with gas cooling at 1030℃ .
  2. Superior machinability
Two or more times as high machinability as the SKS3.
Good machinability after hardening and annealing facilitates repair machining.
  3. Superior tenacity
Better tenacity than the SKS3 reduces chipping and cracks.
  4. Wide application range
Applicable to molds, parts, jigs, tools, and other products as general-purpose cold- tool steel.

Applications Position of KRCX
  • Total hardening
Various cold molds, die plates, stripper plates, and other mold parts, as well as various jigs and tools.
  • Flame-hardening
Cold molds, such as flame-hardened blanking dies, drawing molds, and bending molds.

Hardening depth and thermal processing hardness Tenacity
The KRCX features deeper hardening depth and better hardening performance than the steel currently in use.

The KRCX features better tenacity than the steel currently in use.

Machinability

Roughing end mill (Machining of annealed material)
The KRCX features machinability approximately twice as high as the steel currently in use.
End mill (Machining of pre-hardened material)
The KRCX also features better machinability after hardening and annealing than the steel currently in use.
